International Women's Day

International Women's Day
It’s no coincidence that we’re launching our new Clary Sage & Mint Deodorant on International Women’s Day. This latest addition to our all-natural and vegan deo range contains calming sage and cooling mint to help infuse a touch of natural serenity during menopause, which is a topic that is still not talked enough about.
International Women’s Day is the perfect opportunity to put the spotlight on what some of the female superstars of our team think about women’s rights, opportunities and challenges:

Emilie, Head of Sales
  • What does International Women's Day mean to you?
For me, it’s a day that reminds me to be thankful of the opportunities and advantages that I have, as a woman in a modern western democracy, as a consequence of the actions of women before me and a chance to take stock of where we are with women's rights around the world and whether these are fair and equitable.

  • What do you feel are areas that need to improve for women today?
Women's health - research and understanding into some of the phases of life that we go through such as the menopause. I also think that there needs to be greater fairness and kindness towards each other in public spaces such as on social media - I think women can be each other’s biggest judge - we need to be holding each other up not pushing each other down!

  • What would your advice be for the next generation of women?
Don't listen to those who tell you that you cannot do something - you can do anything you put your mind and time to. I would also give them all a bit of a chat about the need to support each other - but then that is also true in relation to how men behave towards each other. Basically be kind, be fair and lift each other up!

Sara, Office Manager:
  • What does International Women's Day mean to you?
For me, it means global equal rights for women and a day for bringing this to the attention of the world.

  • What do you feel are areas that need to improve for women today?
All women should have access to education and should have equal rights to men. The world is always changing and evolving, but there are still many countries where women are not able to live freely and I feel that this is where the main improvement should be made.

  • What would your advice be for the next generation of women?
Be confident in your abilities. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something because you're a woman. Believe in yourself and your potential, and don't be afraid to take on challenges. You only have one life, you don’t get a second chance!

Jade, Marketing Manager:
  • What does International Women's Day mean to you?
It’s a day to recognize the progress made in gender equality and to raise awareness about the challenges that women continue to face worldwide.

  • What do you feel are areas that need to improve for women today?
Efforts to eliminate discrimination, harassment, and bias in the workplace are very much ongoing. Creating safe and inclusive work environments is essential for women to thrive professionally and personally. I believe that ensuring equal educational opportunities is fundamental to empowering women – it doesn’t just improve your chances of finding employment but it also helps open your mind to new knowledge, which can be great for self-development and self-confidence.

  • What would your advice be for the next generation of women?
Recognize your worth and capabilities and know that you are just as capable as anyone else. Make sure you embrace education and pursue your interests even if they are in a traditionally male-dominated field. Be sure to surround yourself with people who will uplift and support you!
