Cruelty Free International - Leaping Bunny
Our Salt of the Earth products are cruelty free and approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping
Bunny programme. Leaping Bunny is the globally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free cosmetics. It is the only internationally recognisable programme that requires a supplier monitoring system to be implemented by a brand, supply chain checking for animal testing right down to ingredient manufacturer level, adherence to a fixed cut-off date policy and acceptance of ongoing independent audits to ensure compliance.
These standards are over and above the legal requirements. Leaping Bunny is the best assurance a consumer can get that a brand is doing everything it can to be cruelty free and that this is independently verified.
COSMOS Natural
Our UK manufactured products are certified by the Soil Association, COSMOS Natural; meaning we use only ingredients approved to the rigorous, third-party standard of COSMOS.
The COSMOS Standard ensures that the ingredients have been independently identified as not posing a possible risk to human or environmental health, and have been resourced responsibly, and respecting the environment. The COSMOS Standard not only applies to the ingredients but has criteria which the packaging, manufacturing & waste practices must also comply with, such as traceability through all processes of product manufacture and only the use of plant-based cleaning products. The certification process includes an annual audit visit of our site by the Soil Association, which inspects all aspects covered by the COSMOS Standard.
Vegan & Vegetarian Society Approved
All of Salt of the Earth's product formulations are Vegan friendly and certified by both the Vegan Society and Vegetarian Society.
